Experienced Breastfeeding Professionals

Services

We are a team of experienced breastfeeding professionals – pediatrician, Dr. Aviva Lowe, and IBCLCs, Jandy Beresford and Laura Patterson.  We are happy to be bringing lactation support to more families in the Durham and East Toronto areas.

We provide comprehensive breastfeeding care to families.

  • Spend quality and informative one-on-one time with the IBCLC, who will help with latching technique and overall management of breastfeeding.
  • You and your baby will also see the pediatrician who, together with the IBCLC, will develop a comprehensive feeding plan that takes into account your unique situation and challenges as well as any underlying medical issues in you and your baby, all with the aim of helping you reach your feeding goals.

At present, we are working out of the offices of Sages-Femmes Rouge Valley MidwivesDiversity Midwives, and The Midwives Clinic of East York – Don Mills. We are at each location on alternate Tuesdays or Fridays for in-person appointments.

**Please note – do not call the clinics for information about your Breast Intentions appointments.  Their admin staff do not have this information.  Please reach out via email or the form below**

Initial appointments are 60 minutes and follow-ups are 30 minutes.  To compliment our in-person consultations, we are pleased to also be offering virtual follow-up appointments as needed.

Jandy Beresford, IBCLC

Jandy Beresford, IBCLC has been interested in breastfeeding since she had her first baby. Jandy is excited to partner with her colleagues to continue to support local families to meet their feeding goals.

She completed 600+ mentored hours under the supervision of IBCLCs and pediatricians.
